the City Councl for review and consideration.
On lune 29, 2006, the Bangor Museum and Center for H6torysudnimed an application for $500,000 to be
distribute! in $100,000 increments over 5 years in partial support of a $3,250,000 Capital Campaign. The
Commission mat twice with the Executive Director and members of me BoaN of Directors of BMCFH W discuss the
remest and develop an understanding of the project. The Capital Campaign will raise funds for rehabilitating the
BMCFH's building on Broad Street, management of its collector, and development and presentation d museum..

neetl nceeEs the capacity of the budget me Commission has W work Wah. The commission concluded that it
_ should recommend what its current budget has the capacity W support.
The Commission for Cultural Development recommends one the Dry Council approve a grant of $10,000 at the
time.

WHEREAS, the Commission on Cultural Development's mission is W promote the development
of Bangor as a regional ads center that nurtures We artistic and cultural ehrprsslon
of its diverse peoples; and
WHEREAS, the Commission Is authorized to review grant applicator; from ads and cultural
organizations and remmmend a course of anion W the City Council for their review
and consideration; and
WHEREAS, the Bangor Museum and Center for History submitted an application for $500,000 W
be distributed In $100,000 Increments over 5 years in partial support of a
