Resolve, Authorizing Application, Acceptance and Appropriation of $90,000 In Grant funds for Birds Strum Projects Responsible Department: Finance Commentary: The Qty Intends to apply for up to $90,000 in Federal Section 319 grant funds passed through the Maine Department of Environmental Pratectlan. A TMDL (total maximum daily load) report for Birch Stream was approved "a EPA in the fall of 2007. The requested funding would be used to hire outside consultants and an intern to address four critical areas as Identified in the Report. The areas of focus will be to complete a comprehensive watershed management plan, complete a GIS drainage map of the watershed, obtain third pant recommendations for the implemertudon of a fair and equitable stormwamr fee structure, and acquire recommendations and preliminary conceptual desgns for modifying existing stormwater conveyance system(s). This grant will require a local match of approMmately $62,000. The majority of the match will be provided by in-kind labor provided by the City's environmental coordinator, engineering, planning, and cede enforcement offices. The ash match required will be approximately $21,000.
