cooperation with the University of Maine. Tentative developer status was granted until April 30, 2008 to
provide time for the City and Hodgdon ro work out a Development Agreement and far the City to locate an
alternate location for hauling snow from the downtown area. Clty stalf Is requesting that Hodgdon Marine's
tentative developer status be extended to June 30, 2008 so that an alternate site an be determined and the
Agreement finalized for presentation to the Business and Economic Development Committee and City Council.
The extension of the tentative developer status is acceptable ro Hadgdon Marine.

CITY OF BANGOR
(TITLE.) ORDER, Extending Tentative Developer Status of Hodgdon Marine, LLC
For a Parcel on Marina Road, Hampden, Maine
WHEREAS, Hodgdon Manne, LLC has proposed to develop a parcel of land owned by the
City of Bangor known as Stearns Fit located on Marina Road in Hampden; and
WHEREAS, Hodgdon Marine proposes to develop the site as a shipyard for the manufacture
of advanced composite vessels developed in cooperation with the University of
Maine; and
WHEREAS, the proposed development by Hotlgtlon Marine would involve significant new
manufadunng employment oportonities in the Bangor area; and
WHEREAS, by passage of Council Omer W 078 on January 2Q 2008, the Oty Council
granted Hodgdon Marine, LLC tentative developer status until April 30, 2008 to
Provide time for City staff and Hodgdon Marine to negotiate the terms of a
Development Agreement and to locate analternate location for disposal of snow
removed from the downtown area which is presently hauled ro Stearns Pit; and
WHEREAS, Hotlgtlon Marine, LLC has diligently pursued development of the Parcel on
Marina Road in Hampden, Maine and City staff has requested additional Ume to
locate a suitable alternate location for the disposal of snow and for finalizing the
proposed terms of a Development Agreement:
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR THAT
The tentative developer status granted Hodgdon Marine, LLC by passage of Council Omer
08 078 on January 28, 2008 is hereby extended by approximately 60 days to June 30, 2008.
