In general terms, 3 dogs and initial training will be provided m the City for use at Bangor International Airport. Grant funding of approximately $50,000 per year per dog can be used for a variety of purposes including dog handler salades/bene0fs, training, veterinary care, food and supplies, vehicles for the dogs and handlers, and other related incidental cam. There is no finandal match requiretl from the City and existing police officers VII be selected as canine handlers. This Resolve will accept the grant and appropriate $150,500 for FY2008. Subsequent year funding will be included in the annual budget process.
