Responsible Depa tonna: Airport Commentary: The Air Guard has offered to provide the necessary funding far Me Airport to purchase a vacuum tuck. The WWI cost is esgmated robe $189,000. However, at the time of writing, that amount had not been finally confirmed. We do no[, however, anticipate that the final cost would exceed the $200,000 available from the Guard. The tuck would be used to clean aircraft parking aprons, including removal of propylene glycol. The Airport and the Air Guard would enter into a Memorandum of Understanding far the use of the equipment The Air Guam has provided the specifications for the type of tuck to be purchased. However, the truck would actually be owned and maintained by the Airport. The Airport has similar agreements with the Air Guam for other places of equipment and use of facilities. These have worketl well and allowed us leverage our resources. As the funds must be eayended by December 2007, staff requested and the Finance Committee agreed W waved! the City's normal purchasing requirements.
