Commentary:
Michael and Caroline Noblet are the owners of property at 35 Cresbnwnt Street The rear of their
property borders on City land. The Noblets bought their home In 2005. The prior owners had
mowed and planted sane tress on City land behind their house. That portion of their backyard that
isactually Cityland borderson a wet area that borders Me gogcourse. Becauseofthewetland,the
City has no use for its land that makes up part of the NOMers backyard.
The Noblers have wool to purchase a 60 fact by 45 fact parcel of the Clry land abutting the
rear of their property. This was reviewed by the Finance Committee. The Assessing
Deparbnert had determined that Me value of the Noblets property will Increase by $3,000 for
assessing purposes if the City sells the land. The Noblers hall offered less, and the Finance
Committee instructed the France Director m negotiate a price. The partes have agreed an a
price of $3,150.
This Order will authorize the execution of a Purchase and Sale Agreement,
Department Head
Recommend approval.

ORDERED,
THAT the City Manager, on behalf of the City of Bangor, is hereby authorized to
execute a purchase and Sale Agreement with Michael and Caroline Noblet for the sale
of City property abutting the property of Michael and Caroline Noblet at 35 Crestmont
Road, Bangor, Maine. The parcel be be conveyed abuts the rear of the Noblet property
and is sixty (60) feet by forty-five (45) feet. The purchase price shall be Three
Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($3,150.00), and the Purchase and Sale
Agreement shall be in a Porto as approved by the City Solicitor or Assistant City Solicitor.
