WHEREAS, on October 27, 1998 the Oty Council of the City of Bangor adopted Order 97411
authoraing the issuance of the City's general obligation bonds In an amount not to
exceed $925,001) for the expansion, remodeling and renovation of the slNled
nursing unit of the Bangor Nursing Facility, relocation of Its physical therapy
department, and creation of a 17 -bed resident care therapy deparbnent; and
WHEREAS, the Oty has decided not ro proceed with that project at this point; and
WHEREAS, the proceeds of the bonds issued to fund such poje0 haw: been received by the
Ory and must be reallrcated to additional qualifying projects so as to be enpended
appropriately;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IF ORDERED BY THE CRY COUNCIL OF THE CRY OF
BANGOR, THAT the remaining proceeds of the CWs general obligation bonds
Issued! under Order 97411 hereby are reallocated for general facility
improvements;
AND, BE TT FURTHER ORDERED, THAT in all other respects Council Order 97411 Is hereby
radfied and confirmed.

Change In Use of Proceeds
Of General Obligation Bonds Not to Exceed
$925,000
The Bangor City Council will hold a public hearing at its
regular meeting at 7:30 PM on Monday, December 27, 1999
in the City Council Chambers, on the third floor of City Hall,
73 Harlow Street, Bangor, Maine, for the purpose of hearing
public comment on a pmposed change in use of bond
proceeds of up to 5425,000, which had been previously
authorized, and for which bonds have been issued, to fund
certain improvements at the Bangor City Nursing Facility.
The change in use will allow for general improvements
to the facility.
A copy of the entire order is available to the public in the City
Clerk's Office at Bangor City Hall. The public is invited to
address the Council on this proposed bond issue.
