Item No. 00-16
Item/Subject: Amending Chapter 291 Article III Parking of the City of
Bangor Code - Adopting New Parking Schedules
Responsible Department: Community 6 Economic Development
Commentary: This is a housekeeping amendment to the parking code adopting
w parking schedules regulating parking throughout the City. The Police
Department and Community and economic Development Department have prepared a
computerized format for the parking schedules and in the process have
eliminated duplicate information, inconsistencies and e in descriptions
fisting in the current schedules due to many amendmentsover the years.
The new format can be sorted by street, providing patrol officers a better
format to refer to, and a better format to refer to whenmakingfuture
amendments. No changes to aRisting parking regulations are
intended. Where
inconsistencies have existed the current schedules, we have followed the
parking as regulated by posted signs in the field.
