Item/Subject: Order, Authorizing F ecutlon of a Lease with the Greater Bangor Chamber of
Commerce, Inc.

The Greater Bangor Chamber of Commerce, Inc. CChambero) is currently located in
Bangor at the Bass Park complex. With the pending construction of the new arena, the
Chamber will need to relocate from its existing facility. For the past seveal months
staff has been working with the Chamber to Identify a long-term location. However, the
Chamber needs time W obtain and renovate new space for its operation.
Currently, the City owns a building located on Maine Avenue that will meet the needs of
the Chamber as a temporary location while it obtains and renovates new space.
If approved, this Order will authorize the execution of a lease with the Chamber for
property located at 208 Maine Avenue. The lease shall include a term for one year with
an option for renewal, lease rate of $1.00 per year, and utilities to be paid for by the
Chamber.

(TREE.) ORDER, Authorizing Execution of a Lease with the Greater Bangor Chamber of
Commerce, Inc.
WHEREAS, are Greater Bangor Chamber of Commerce, Inc. ('Chambee) is currently located on
a lot or parcel of land belonging W the City of Bangor at Bass Park; and
WHEREAS, the Chamber needs to relocate M a new location due to the mnstmction of the new
arena at Bass Park; and
WHEREAS, the Chamber needs time M obtain and renovate new space for its operation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bangor owns a building located on Maine Avenue that can meet the needs
of Me Chamber for a temporary locadon while it obtains and renovates new space.

ORDERED,
THAT Catherine M. Connote, City Manager, is hereby authorized on behalf of the City of Bangor
to execute a lease with the Greater Bangor Chamber of Commerce, Inc, for property located at
208 Maine Avenue. Said lease shall include a term of one year with an option for renewal,
lease rate of $1.00 per year, utilities M be paid for by the Greater Bangor Chamber of
Commerce, Inc. and shall be in a final form as approved by the Cty Solicitor or Assistant City
Solidtor.
