In the spring of 2011, the City issued a Request for Proposals for the operation of the new arena and meeting complex. The Gly received three responses from qualified companies that operate similar types of facilities throughout the country. To facilitate the selection process, a panel comprised of staff, Council, and the Manager from the Cumberland County Civic Center reviewed the proposals and Interviewed Me three companies. After a thorough review, the panel has recommended that the City enter into negotiations Mth Global Spedmm. Although all three companies were well qualified m operate the arena and meeting complex it was felt that Global Spectrum more clearly met our identified needs and provided a slightly better Flt Man the other two. This item will be reviewed by Me Finance Committee prior M tonight's Coundl meeting.
