Commentary: Labor negoba0ons between the City and AFSCME Coundl 93 representing Aircraft
Mechanics have resulted in a Tentative Agreement between the City and Union Negotiating Committees
Thls agreement will follow the June 30, 2011 expiration of the current collective bargaining agreement.
The proposed contract Induces the following: a one-year term expinng June 30, 2012; no cost of living
adjustment (0% COLA); a re&lon to holiday pay for part-time employees; continuation of a call-in pay
prarision; and updated health insurance rates and effective dates There are no other changes to the
agreement.
The Union has recently voted to ratify the Tentative Agreement The Agreement has been reacIned
within the bargaining guidelines previously established by the City Council and the Agreement has been
reviewed with the Council in Executive Session. The Agreement is presented with the recommendation
of the Management Bargaining Committee and is ready for Council consideration.
A copy of the Agreement is provided under separate cover.

Mechanics at Bangor International Airport
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR THAT: the
City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement
between the City of Bangor and AFSCME Council 93 representing Aircraft Mechanics at
Bangor International Airport for a term of one year commencing July 1, 2011 and
expiring June 30, 2012.
