HomeMy WebLinkAbout2011-06-27 11-218 ORDERCOUNCIL ACTION Item N0._ iR Date: June 22. 2811 Item/Subject: Order, Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City, of Bangor and AFSCME Council 93 Representing Airfield and Building Maintenance Employees at Bangor Intemational Airport Responsible Department: Executive Commentary: labor negotiations between the City and AFSCME Council 93 representing Airtield and Wilding Maintenance Employees have resulted in a Tentative Agreement between the City and Union Negotiating Committees. This agreement will follow the June 30, 2011 expiration of the anent collective bargaining agreement. The proposed caWM includes the following: a one-year term expiring June 30, 2012; no cost of Wing adjustment (0%COIA); and updated health insurance rates and effective dates. There are no other clanges to the agreement. The Union has recently voted to ratify the Tentative Agreement The Agreement has been reachetl villin the bargaining guidelines previously established by the City Counal and the Agreement has been reviewed with the Coondl in Executive Session. The Agreement is presented with the recommendation of the Management Bargaining Committee and is ready for Counal mnsideration. A ropy of the Agreement is provided under separate cover.
