If approved, this order would authorize Councilors and staff to solidt funds for the expansion of
bus service to Ocilin Road and Outer Hammond Street. There has been considerable interest by
the City Council and other Interested parties M expand the bus service to Include Odlin Road and
Outer Hammond Street The expansion a bus service may be limited due to budgetary
constraints _ and some of the area businesses have expressed an Interest in making financial
contributions M help fund the expansion.
The City's Code of Ethics prohibits solicitation of funds by City Councilors and staff for me benefit
Of one City or programs, except as expressly auNonzed by a Cauncil Order or Ordinance.
In addition to approving the solicitation of funds, INS order provides that the Qty Manager,
Assistant City Manager, and Chair of the City Council shall be responsible for coordinating
sollcitation efforts and determining the person(s) who shall partldpate in solicitation efforts.

CITY OF BANGOR
(TITLE.) ORDER, Authorivng Solicitation of Funds for Expanded BAT Bus Service
WHEREAS, me City Council of the City of Bangor and other interested parties desire the
expansion of bus service to include Orlin Road and Outer Hammon Street; and
WHEREAS, said expansion of bus service may be limited due to budgetary constraints of the
City of Eangor; and
WHEREAS, some area businesses have expressed an interest her consideration of private
contributions W help pay for said expansion of bus service; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bangors Cade of Ethics prohibits solicitation of funds for Hie benefit of
the City or support of City programs by City Councilors and Oty employees except as expressly
authorized by a Council Order or Ordinance; an
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Bangor W work collaboratively with businesses
and individuals to provide services W its citizens and businesses.

ORDERED, THAT
The City Council and City staff is authorized, pursuant W Section 33-9.1. of the Code of the City
of Bangor to solicit Ponds for the benefit of the expansion of bus service provided by the BAT to
Otliin Road and Outer Hammond Street.
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED THAT the City Manager, Assistant City Manager and Chair of the City
Council shall be responsible for coordinating solicitation efforts an determining the person(s)
who shall participate in such efforts.
