Childcare will be provided at Air National Guard Facilities in Bangor and the City is fully reimbursed for the cost of the services. A separate contract is required each time childcare services are provided. The Government Operations Committee has reviewed and unanimously recommends approval. MEARNG Yellow Ribbon Program DATE: March 17, 2011 We have been corrtacted bythe MEARNG regarding the possibility of contracting with us to Provide childcare during a Wellow Ribbon' program they conduct for returning soldiers and their families. This allows for parents to easily attend required workshops with the peace of mind in knowing that their child is well cared for within the proximity of the presentation center, They are reaching out to community packs and recreation departments to assist with childczrts while adufte are in their classes. They were referred to as from the Clry of Augusta Parks and Recreation, We would send our staff to the Armed Forces Recruigng Center on Hildreth Street North for the childcare piece of this program and would be reimbursed for all costs. We have met with staff of the MEARNG to confirm details and familiarize our staff with their facility. This fits well into our regular before and after school routine and I sea It as a unique and positive activity for us to Partner with the military on. It is my understanding that the units they are working with are based in Calais and Safford.
