Item/Subject: ORDER, Authorizing an Easement for Propane Tanks and Equipment at 24
Central Street
Responsible Department Legal
Betsy and Zeph W ndy, 30 Central Street, have approached the City to Obtain a five foot by eight
foot easement for the placement of propane equipmrnt at 24 Central Street, as natural gas is
not an option. Given the configuration of 30 Central Street, it is impossible to install propane
tanks without placing a portion of Bre equipment on the City owned lot located at 24 Central
Street, (sometimes referred to as Zoldls Park).
If approved, the City would grant a five foot by eight foot easement to the Lundy's for the
placement of propane equipment at 24 Central Street. Additionally, the easement would
stipulate that the Wooly's screen the tanks with both fenang and vegetated materials and that it
could be terminated upon 45 days notice by the City.
Staff recommends granting the Candy's an easement allowing propane tanks and equipment ro
be installed and maintained, all in a form as approved by the Clry Solicitor or Assistant City
Solicitor. The item was unanimously approved by the BED on March 9, 2011.
