At this conclusion of this hearing; Council will set a date for the election. At this time, staff recommends that the Council consider May 4, 2011 as the date for the election. The primary reason for ti0s recommendation is that it allows the City to prepare and enter into construdon contracts and does notjeopardize the guaranteed price for this project Additional delays may hinder the ability of the contractor to order materials for the summer 2011 construction season. If approved, this Order will place the question of whetter the City will authorize construction of a new arena at Bass Park to the voters on a May 4, 2011 regular special election ballot.
