Item/Subject: ORDER, Agreement and Consent to a Sublease between Gary Hagan and
the United States at 967 Illinois Avenue

Gary J. Hagan has (eased lots 7 and 8 in the BIA Commercial I Industrial Park from the City
since 1999. The lease term extends to 2039. Mr. Hagan constructed a building on these lots
wbich he leases to the US Department of Agriculture. The lease agreement between the City
and Mr. Hagan requires the consent of the City to the sublease between Mr. Hagan and United
States. Mr. Hagan and his lessee, the US Government represented by Me General Services
Administration (GSA), request the City of Bangor's consent to the sublease between Mr. Hagan
and the United States.
Staff recommends approval of the consent to sublease.

(TITLE.) ORDER, Agreement and Consent to a Sublease between Gary Hagan and the United
States at 967 Illinois Ave.
WHEREAS, fhe Cry of Bangar and GaryJ. Hagan entered into a lease effective as of
February 9, 1999 for the premises located at 967 Illinois Ave., Bangor, Maine;
and
WHEREAS, Article M of the lease states that subleases must be approved by the Cry and
that the City shall not unreasonably withhold its consent for Gary Hagan to
sublease a portion of the Leased premises; add
WHEREAS, Gary Hagan has requested authorization to sublease to the United States a
portion of the Leased Premises.
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authored to execute the Agreeement and Consent for the
sublease from Gary Hagan to the United States for the subleased premises W be used for
general business and related government office uses.
