Commentary: labor negotiations with AFSCME Council 93 representing 3 fulibme and 3
part-time Aircraft Mechanics at Bangor International Airport have resulted in a Tentative
Agreement between the City and Union Negotiating Committees. This is a successor
agreement to the contract which expired on June 30, 2010.
Major points of significance include: a one-year contract, revisions to health insurance
coverage options, clarifications regarding Military Leave and shift coverage, an increase
in call-in pay from 2 hours to 3 hours from 6 am to 12 midnight only for the Conrad
period of one year, and no cost -of -living adjustment.
The Agreement has been reached within the bargaining guidelines previousty
established by the City Council. The Union has recently voted to ratify the proposed
agreement and It is now ready for Council consideration. This has been reviewed with
the Council in Executive Session and Is presented with the recommendation of the
Management Negotiating Committee.

Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Bangor and AFSCME
Council 93 Representing Aircraft Mechanics at Bangor International Airport
ORDERED, THAT the Interim City Manager is authorized to execute a collective
bargaining agreement between the Gty, of Bangor and AFSCME Council 93 representing
Aircraft Mechanics at Bangor International Airport for a tens of one-year commencing
July 1, 2010 and ening June 30, 2011.
