ACTION Item No. Date: Auoust8 2011 Item/Subject: Order, Authorizing the Airport to Submit a Passenger Facility Charge Application to the Federal Aviation Administration for up to $3.2 million to provide funding for Electrical Upgrades and Terminal Building Improvements at Bangor International Airport Responsible Department: Airport Commentary: If approved, this Order will authorize the Airport to submit a Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) application to the FAA for up to $3.2 million to fund needed electrical upgrades, terminal building improvements, and a companion project to the TSA in line checked baggage screening system. Further, the proposed application calls for a continuation the exisbng fee of $4.50 per passenger which will allow the airport to raise $3.2 million for needed Improvements. In accordance with FAA regulations, the Airport hashed an informational meeting for Commercial Airlines and received no written or verbal comments on the proposed projects. Proceeds from the PFC can only be used to make improvements to facilties that suport commercial airlines. Rebecca L.
