In early February the 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997 real estate taxes
assessed against real estate located at 147 Third Street and
currently owned by Elizabeth Knapp were paid. The administrative
quitclaim fee was also paid. The attached Order, if approved,
would authorize a release of the City's title.

Authorizing Execution of Municipal Quitclaim Deed

ORDERED,
THAT Ronald 1. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 147 Third Street in said Bangor by virtue of
municipal tax liensfor fiscal years 1994 and 1995 recorded in the
Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to
Elizabeth E. Knapp and shall be substantially in the form attached
hereto.

MUNICIPAL OHITCLAIM DEED
The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation, located in
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantor, for consideration
Paid, releases to ELIZABETH E. RNAPP, as Grantee, of Brewer,
Penobscot County, Maine, the property located in said Bangor and
more particularly described as follows:
Real estate located at 147 Third Street in said
Bangor, and further described in Volume 2953,
Page 104, Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said
property is further designated as City of Bangor
real estate tax account number 20488, Assessors
Map 24, Lot 141.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for tax years
1994 and 1995 by virtue of undischarged tax
liens recorded in the Penobscot Registry of
Deeds in Book 5661, Page 237 and Book 5875, Page
250.
The purpose of this deed is to release to the Grantees
any
interest the Grantor may have in the above-described property
by
virtue of unpaid taxes assessed for tax years 1994 and 1995.
All
public easements or other public interests in the described
premises for roads, sewers, or other purposes are expressly
reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
sealed with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of March, 1997.
