Commentary:
In early February the 1995, 1996 and 1997 real estate taxes
assessed against vacant land located at 10B Parker Street and
currently owned by Elizabeth Knapp were paid. The administrative
quitclaim fee was
also paid. The attached Order, if approved,
would authorizea release of the City's title.

Authorizing Execution of Municipal Quitclaim Deed

ORDERED,
THAT Ronald I. Heller, Finance Director, is hereby
authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute a Municipal
Quitclaim Deed releasing any interest the City may have in the real
estate located at 108 Parker Street (land) in said Bangor by virtue
of a matured municipal tax lien recorded in the Penobscot Registry
of Deeds. Said deed shall be directed to Elizabeth E. 'Knapp and
sahll be substantially in the form attached hereto.

MUNICIPAL CUITCLAIM DEED
The CITY OF BANGOR, a municipal corporation located i
Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, as Grantor, for consideration
paid, releases to ELIZABETH E. KNAPP, as Grantee, of Brewer,
Penobscot County, Maine, all its right, title and interest in and
to certain property located in said Bangor and more particularly
described as follows:
Real estate (land) located at 108 Parker Street
in said Bangor, and further described in BOlume
3099, Page 181 and Volume 5241, Page 354,
Penobscot Registry of Deeds. Said property i
further designated as City real estate account
number 50404, Assessor's Map 24, Lot 142.
Being the same premises acquired by said City of
Bangor for unpaid taxes assessed for the year
1995 by virtue of an undischarged tax lien
recorded in the Penobscot County Registry Of
Deeds in Book 5875, Page 249.
The purpose of this deed is to release any interest the
City may have in the above described property by virtue of unpaid
real estate taxes assessed for the year 1995. All public easements
or other public interests in the described premises for roads,
sewers, or other purposes are expressly reserved.
The said CITY OF BANGOR has caused this instrument to be
sealed with its corporate seal, and signed in its corporate name by
RONALD I. HELLER, Finance Director, thereunto duly authorized, this
day of March, 1997.
