HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014-10-27 City Council Minutes MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING BANGOR CITY COUNCIL— OCTOBER 27, 2014 Meeting called to Order at 7:30 PM Chaired by Council Chair Sprague Councilors Absent:Blanchette Meeting Adjourned at 8:51 PM RECOGNITION Recognized the Work of Good Shepherd Food Bank Recognized The Contribution Of Annette Sohns Dodd To Public Art In Bangor,Maine PROCLAMATION Proclaimed Extra Mile Day In The City Of Bangor Proclaimed November to be Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month in the City of Bangor PUBLIC COMMENT Geoffrey Gratwick expressed his appreciation for what the Council has done over the last few years and congratulated the outgoing Council members. Paul LeClair thought there should be a conversation regarding political signs specifically the size and when they could be put out. He felt the signs were not a positive reflection of the city. Mr. LeClair also questioned why Council workshops were not held in the Council Chambers and televised. Council Chair Sprague indicated the sign issue could be taken up at a Government Operations meeting for further discussion. Chairman Sprague stated that three of the Council workshop items were held in the Council Chamber this evening but Executive Sessions could not be held in public. CONSENT AGENDA ASSIGNED TO ITEM NO.
