HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012-10-22 12-334 ORDERCOUNCIL ACTION Item No. 12-334 Date: October 22, 2012 Item/Subject: Order — Authorizing the City Manager to Accept $ 3132.00 in US Currency Responsible Department: Police Commentary: On April 5, 2012, officers from the Bangor Police Department assisted the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency with an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs by Kristy Harris of 66 Deer Isle Road in Bangor, Maine. As a result of the investigation Harris was charged with felony trafficking in drugs. Seized as part of the investigation was $3,132.00 in suspected drug proceeds. We have been notified by the Maine Office of the Attorney General that, because of our participation in the investigation, we are entitled to all or a portion of the proceeds should they ultimately be ordered forfeited by the court.
