Responsible Department: Police Commentary: On May 4, 2012, members of the Bangor Police Department's Special Response Team (SET) participated in a joint investigation with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) regarding the illegal sales of drugs by Roger Campbell -Black of Center Street in Bangor. As part of this investigation, Campbell -Black was subsequently charged with felony trafficking in crack cocaine and Oxycodone. In addition to a sizeable amount of drugs, officers also seized $1223.00 in US currency and the above mentioned Chevrolet pick-up. Both the cash and the vehicle are subject to forfeiture under State of Maine law. We have been notified by the Maine Office of the Attorney General that, because of our participation in the investigation, we are entitled to a portion of the proceeds and the vehicle if they are ultimately forfeited.
