Commentary:
At the request of the Government Services Administration, this Ordinance removes five (5) spaces on
Harlow Street in front of the Margaret Chase Smith Federal Building and designates the four (4)
remaining spaces as handicapped parking. These changes are intended to comply with new Homeland
Security regulations and to protect pedestrians crossing Harlow Street in front of the building.

designating spaces 927, 928, 929, and 935 as "Parking for Persons with Disabilities" and
removing spaces 930 through 934
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR, AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the map entitled "Downtown Parking Management District", referred to in City of Bangor Code
Section 291-37 B, is hereby amended by designating parking spaces 927, 928, 929, and 935 on Harlow
Street as "Parking for Persons with Disabilities" and removing spaces 930 through 934.
