Responsible Department: Executive Commentary: If approved, this amendment will provide for signage in the Bass Park District, which currently does not exist. In 2009, the City created a new zone and development standards for Bass Park which included the Bangor Auditorium, Arena, Racetrack and Fairgrounds, to be known as the Bass Park District. The purpose of the zone was to recognize the unique land use issues related to operating a modern day multi-purpose facility. At the time, signage was not included in order for the City to better understand signage needs upon the construction of the new facility. Since that time we have worked with our Architects to develop and exterior signage plan that includes building signage and a monument sign.
