Item No. 12-302
Date: September 10, 2012
Item/Subject: Ordinance, Amending Chapter 271, Streets, of the Code of the City of Bangor,
By Authorizing the City Engineer to Issue Curb Cut Permits
Responsible Department: Code
Commentary:
Under current City ordinance, curb cut permits are approved by the City Engineer, but issued by
the Code Enforcement Officer. In practice, however, the City Engineer has always both approved
and issued the permits. This Ordinance amendment would bring the ordinance into line with past
practice, and make the Engineer responsible for the form of the permit application as well.
