Council 93 representing Airport and Building Maintenance Employees
at Bangor International Airport

Commentary: This Order authorizes the City Manager to execute a three year collective
bargaining agreement with Airport and Building Maintenance Employees at Bangor International
Airport. Negotiations between the City and AFSCME Council 93 have resulted in a Tentative
Labor Agreement which has been ratified by the Union. This Agreement follows the most recent
contract which expired in June, 2012. The Agreement has been reached within the bargaining
guidelines established by the City Council and includes the following: a three year term, cost of
living adjustments of 1.5% year one, 1.5% year two, and 2% year three; updated health
insurance rates and corresponding date changes; closing the most expensive healthcare plan
option to new hires and not permitting current employees to transfer into the plan; and an
adjustment to the boot allowance. The Agreement is presented with the recommendation of the
Management Negotiating Committee and was reviewed with Council in Executive Session on
August 13th.

By the City Council of the City of Bangor.
ORDERED, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a Collective Bargaining
Agreement between the City of Bangor and AFSCME Council 93 representing Airport and
Building Maintenance employees at Bangor International Airport for a term commencing July 1,
2012 and ending .lune 30, 2015 in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Tentative
Agreement reached between the City and Union Negotiating Committees.
