Responsible Departme�t; Airport COmmentdry: The Airport is requesting authorization to accept and appropriate a grant in the amount af$4,060,753 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to provide for the TSA in-line checked baggage inspection system solution at the Bangor International Airport. This project involves the modification to and construction of the airport terminal building infrastructure to incorporate the TSA in-line checked baggage inspection system.Terminal modifications include changes to to baggage conveyor components, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural and telecommunnciations infrastrusture to provide for the installation of the TSA equipment. The objective of the project is to enhance airport security and baggage screening capabilities and throughput. StafF recommends approval.
