Item No. 12 070
Date: January 23, 2012
Item/Subject: Ordinance, Amending the Code of the City of Bangor, Chapter 9, Section 9-8,
Chapter 54, Sections 54-1 and 54-2 - Airport Committee
Responsible Department: Legal
Commentary:
Currently the Code of the City of Bangor includes the Airport Committee as one of six standing
committees of the Council. In an effort to streamline issues before the Council it was suggested
that the business of the Airport Committee could be absorbed by one of the other Committees.
If approved this Ordinance amendment will eliminate the Airport Committee and the business of
the Airport will be directed to the Business and Economic Department.
This proposed amendment as been previously reviewed in a Council Workshop Session.
