Item No.
Date: December 28, 2011
Item/Subject: Order, Authorization to Execute a Municipal Quitclaim Deed for the Sale of a
Portion of 34 Holland Street to Walter and Kathleen Kamyk
Responsible Department: Community and Economic Development
Commentary:
In 2011 the City acquired 34 Holland Street due to non payment of taxes and matured tax liens.
The building on the property was deemed unsafe and uninhabitable by the Code Enforcement
Officer and was demolished by the City. The lot is not a buildable lot under the City Code.
Walter and Kathleen Kamyk, an abutting landowner, are interested in purchasing a portion of
the property to add to their current lot. Upon receipt of payment of $7,500, the value of the
land, the City will issue a quitclaim deed.
The Business and Economic Development Committee recommends approval.
