Item/Subject: Order, Authorizing the Police Department to Accept up to $2,772 in
Funds From the State of Maine Bureau of Highway Safety for the Purpose of Increasing
OUI Enforcement Efforts During the 2011 Holiday Season

Commentary: The State of Maine Bureau of Highway Safety has awarded up to $2,772
in grant funds to the Bangor Police Department as part of the 2011 Holiday HV
Impaired Driving Enforcement Project to assist with high visibility OUI enforcement
during the 2011 holiday season. The grant funds are available to provide overtime
reimbursement as a means to increase enforcement efforts. Grant funds will be
distributed to the City as reimbursement for expenses is requested.
There is a required match of $8,316, which is met through in-kind normal operational
costs. No cash match is required.

funds from the State of Maine Bureau of Highway Safety's 2011 Holiday HV Impaired
Driving Enforcement Project for the purpose of increasing OUI enforcement efforts.
