Item No. 15-031
Date: December 8, 2014
Item/Subject: Resolve - Ratifying Execution of Agreement with Department of Homeland
Security, Transportation Security Administration — Canine Detection Team
Responsible Department:
Commentary: This resolve will ratify a renewal agreement with the Department of Homeland
Security, Transportation Security Administration. For several years the City of Bangor has had
an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security, Transportation and Safety
Administration for explosive detection dogs. The agreement provides that the costs of the
program are paid for by the Transportation and Safety Administration. The most recent
agreement was up for renewal and the City only recently received the new agreement with a
request that it be executed by December 1, 2014. Staff recommends approval as it will continue
service already provided.
