Commentary:
Real estate tax liens matured on the properties of Edward Shaw located at 20 Highland Court, 88
Sidney Street, 90 Sidney Street, 173 Broadway, 174 Essex Street, and 267 Pine Street. Mr. Shaw
is in the process of selling three of these properties. All outstanding charges due the City will be
paid at the time of closing. There are no code issues. Because the liens matured, municipal
quitclaim deeds are required to release the City's interests in the properties. The quitclaim deeds
will not be recorded with the Penobscot Registry of Deeds until all charges have been paid.
