Item No. 14-250
Date: August 11, 2014
Item/Subject: Order — Authorizing the City Manager to accept $1,501.00 in funds as a result
of a State Criminal Forfeiture
Responsible Department: Police
Commentary: This order will authorize the City Manager to accept $1501.00 in forfeiture funds as part
of the Federal Equitable Sharing Program. Members of the Bangor Police Department and the Maine
Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) were instrumental in an investigation that ultimately led to the seizure
of drugs, cash and property.
Since this investigation involved officers with the Bangor Police Department, the police department is
entitled to a share of the forfeited assets in this case. (Case name: Hiland)
