Commentary:
This Order would accept the transfer of two small portions of Map R8, Lot 6 from the Bangor
Airport Civic Development Corporation for use as a public right-of-way. The Bangor Airport Civic
Development Corporation has agreed to transfer the portions involved to the City of Bangor for
this purpose.
This item was reviewed and recommended for approval by the Business and Economic
Development Committee on May 20, 2014.

(TITLE.) ORDER, Accepting the Transfer of Two Portions of Map R8, Lot 6 from the Bangor
Airport Civic Development Corporation
WHEREAS, the Bangor Airport Civic Development Corporation is owner of a lot sometimes
referred to as the Hirshhom Lot on outer Hammond Street at Map R8, Lot 6 on the City of
Bangor tax maps; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide for access to and development of the Hirshhom Lot, the City of
Bangor wishes to dedicate two small portions of the Bangor Airport Civic Development
Corporation lot as a public street; and
WHEREAS, the Bangor Airport Civic Development Corporation has transferred or offered to
transfer said portions to the City so that the City may dedicate the portions as a public street;
and
WHEREAS, it Is in the interest of the City of Bangor to accept these portions of the lot from the
Bangor Airport Civic Development Corporation.

ORDERED,
That the City Manager is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City of Bangor, to accept two
portions of Map R8, Lot 6 on the City of Bangor tax maps from the Bangor Airport Civic
Development Corporation.

EXHIBIT A
Two parcels of land situated on a lot now or formerly of Bangor Airport Civic Development
Corporation and described in a deed recorded at Book 9677, Page 334 of the Penobscot
Registry of Deeds, Penobscot County, Maine. Said parcels are located northerly of Hammond
Street in the City of Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine and are more particularly described as
follows:
First parcel:
Beginning at a point on the northerly sideline of Hammond Street, said point being S830 01'00"
W a distance of 50.06 feet by and along the northerly sideline of Hammond Street from the
southwest comer of land now or formerly of Albion M. Dorr Jr., Map R8, Lot 3 of the City of
Bangor Tax Maps, recorded at the Penobscot Registry of Deeds at Book 1655, Page 14 and as
shown on a plan entitled "Proposed Right of Way Plan for City of Bangor," dated May 19, 2014
and on file with the City of Bangor Engineering Department;
Thence S830 01' 00" W, a distance of 30.02'to a turning point; thence N04° 24' 58" W, a
distance of 413.35' feet to a turning point; thence N830 12'36" E, a distance of 126.06' feet to
a turning point; thence S5710 00'01" W, a distance of 109.28' feet to a turning point; thence
5040 24'58" E, a distance of 364.95 feet to the point of beginning.
The above described lot or parcel of land containing 0.34 acres, more or less, as shown on a
plan entitled "Proposed Right of Way Plan for City of Bangor," dated May 19, 2014 and on file
with the City of Bangor Engineering Department, and being a portion of Map R8, Lot 6 of the
City of Bangor tax maps.
Second parcel:
Beginning at a point on the northwest comer of land now or formerly of Albion M. Dorr Jr., Map
R8, Lot 3 of the City of Bangor Tax Maps, recorded at the Penobscot Registry of Deeds at Book
1655, page 14 and as shown on a plan entitled "Proposed Right of Way Plan for City of
Bangor," dated May 19, 2014 and on file with the City of Bangor Engineering Department;
Thence N5710 00'01" E a distance of 54.96' feet to a turning point; thence S060 47'24" E, a
distance of 24.27' feet to a turning point; thence S830 12' 36" W, a distance of 49.31' feet to
the point of beginning.
The above described lot or parcel of land containing 0.01 acres, more or less, as shown on a
plan entitled "Proposed Right of Way Plan for City of Bangor," dated May 19, 2014 and on file
with the City of Bangor Engineering Department, and being a portion of Map R8, Lot 6 of the
City of Bangor tax maps.
