Item/Subject: Order, Authorizing an Amendment to the Indenture of Lease with MJH-
BGR, LLC (Map 001, Lot 001)

Commentary: MJH-BGR, LLC (Hammond Lumber) wishes to extend its lease of a
section of the unused railroad track adjacent to Hammond Lumber Company at 1087
Hammond Street. MJH-BGR, LLC has leased approximately 0.75 acres of land since
2003 and they would like to extend the term for ten (10) years with an option to extend
the term annually. This lease agreement has been reviewed by staff and recommended
for approval under the terms and conditions outlined above.
This item was reviewed and recommended for approval by the Business &Economic
Development Committee at its May 6, 2014 meeting.

(TITLE.) ORDER, Authorizing an Amendment to the Indenture of Lease with MJH-BGR, LLC
(Map 001, Lot 001)
WHEREAS, the City of Bangor is the owner of land at 1087 Hammond Street; and
WHEREAS, MJH-BGR, LLC has leased land at 1087 Hammond Street since 2003; and
WHEREAS, MJH-BGR, LLC would like to extend its lease for ten years:
BE IT ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR THAT
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of Bangor, an
Amendment to the Indenture of Lease between the City of Bangor and MJH-BGR, LLC to extend
its lease of a section of the unused railroad track adjacent to Hammond Lumber Company at
1087 Hammond Street for ten (10) years with an option to extend the term annually in a form
approved by the City Solicitor or the Assistant City Solicitor.
