Responsible Department: Airport Commentary: The finance Committee reviewed and recommends Council approval of the Airport's request for authorization to accept a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration for the re -construction of the Cargo Aircraft Parking Apron. This is the aircraft parking area located between the International Arrivals building and the Joint -Use Military aircraft parking area. The area still has the original pavement constructed by the military and it has exceeded its useful life expectancy. This area is a safety hazard due to the potential for aircraft to ingest pavement debris into aircraft engines. The grant will fund 95% of the project with the remaining 5% being split between the Airport and the State. Rebecca L.
