HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-08-10 09-258 RESOLVECOUNCIL ACTION Item No. _r -'s9 2-Z P Date: August 10, 2009 Item/Subject: RESOLVE, Ratifying Execution of Municipal Quitclaim Deed For Real Estate Located at 24 Davis Street Responsible Department: Legal Commentary: A real estate tax lien matured in 1996 on the property of Daniel and Valerie Hazeldine, currently owned by Patricia Ouellette. City records show no outstanding sewer charges due on the property, but apparently the lien was never discharged. Because the lien matured and in order to facilitate the closing, the quitclaim deed has been executed and delivered, releasing the City's interest acquired by virtue of the lien. This Resolve will ratify the staff action. The Finance Committee recommends approval. BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR: BE IT RESOLVED, That the actions of Deborah Cyr, Finance Director, in executing and delivering a Municipal Quitclaim Deed from the City of Bangor to Patricia Ouellette for property at 24 Davis Street in Bangor, Maine are hereby ratified and affirmed.
