IN CITY COUNCIL July 13, 2009 # 09-232 ORDER (TITLE,) ArrPnting the Resignation of James Russell Jr. from the Parks and Beereation Advisory Committee Assigned to Councilor l%ll® 232 RUSSELL 28 JENNIFER LANE BANGOR, MAINE 04401 June 29, 2009 Tracy Willette, Director Parks and Recreation Department City of Bangor 647 Main Street Bangor, Maine 04401 Dear Tracy: Please accept this letter as my resignation from the Parks and Recreation's Advisory Committee. While I have greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with this group, as I'm sure you've recognized, my position as principal at Hermon Middle School does not afford me the time to participate at the level the assignment demands. Allow me to say that I am very impressed with the way you and the other new staff members are taking the department. A noticeable change (for the better) is evident. Congratulations and keep up the hard work. Thank you and the City of Bangor for the chance to get involved and give something back. Perhaps in a few years when things quiet down some a return will be possible. Until then, thank you and the best of luck moving the Department's agenda forward. Sincerely, Jame i L. Russell, Jr.
