Commentary
The FAA does annual inspections of Bangor International Airport. During an inspection
in June 2006, the FAA found certain deficiencies regarding aircraft rescue and
firefighting services primarily involving documentation of required training. As a result,
the FAA assessed a proposed civil penalty. After negotiations with the FAA and
documentation supporting improvements, the proposed penalty was reduced to
$47,850.
This Order will authorize the execution of documents necessary to settle this matter for
a civil penalty of $47,850.
