This allows for a maximum of four courtesy tickets a year. While this courtesy ticket policy was intended to be a courtesy to those parking in the downtown area that may not be familiar with the downtown parking ordinances, such as visitors to the City, they are also used by those working in the downtown as four "free tickets" per year. Too address this issue, the Downtown Parking Advisory Committee, at its meeting on April 16, 2009, recommended that the maximum number of courtesy tickets be changed from 4 per year (within 90 days prior to the ticket date) to 3 per year (within 120 days prior to the ticket date).
