Item No.
Date: November 24, 2008 09 Gi
Item/Subject: ORDER, Authorizing the Airport to Enter into a Lease Agreement with the Federal
Aviation Administration for Space in Building #96 at Bangor International Airport.
Responsible Department: Airport
Commentary:
The Federal Aviation Administration currently leases space from the Airport in Building #96 and desires
to renew the agreement for an additional five year term. This area is used as administrative office space
for the FAA Airways Facilities Division. These employees maintain the Airport's FAA owned navigational
equipment.
The general terms of the lease will remain unchanged. The Airport will rent 7,500 square feet to the
FAA at a rate of $11.85 per square foot. This covers the Airport's cost for the building and operating
expenses. The lease will be in a standardized format used for all federal agencies and will be reviewed
and approved by City Legal.
