Item No. 09 052
Date: January 26, 2009
Item/Subject: ORDER, Authorizing Execution of Municipal Quitclaim Deed — Real Estate
Located at 73 Somerset Street.
Responsible Department: Legal
Commentary:
A 2007 real estate tax lien matured on the property at 73 Somerset Street. By means of a
foreclosure, the property is now owned by People's United Bank, dba Merrill Merchants
Bank, successor in interest by merger to Merrill Merchants Bank. The property is being
sold and all outstanding charges due to the City have been paid. Because the lien
matured, a municipal quitclaim is required to release the City's interest in the property.
