members. This Ordinance change will add two associate members to the Recycling Committee.

(TITLE.) Ordinance, Amending Chapter 265, § 265-4 (F) of the Code of the City of Bangor to
Add Associate Membership to the Recycling Committee.
WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Bangor provides for a Recycling Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Bangor does not provide for associate membership on the Recycling
Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANGOR THAT,
Chapter 265, §265-4 (F) of the Code of the City of Bangor is amended as follows:
F. Recycling Advisory Committee.
1) A Recycling Advisory Committee shall consist of seven members and two associate members.
One of the members shall be a Councilor who is appointed annually by the Council Chairperson. The
remaining six members and two associate members shall be appointed by the City Council from the
public -at -large. Initial appointments of public members shall consist of two members for a one-year
term, two members for a two-year term and two members for a three-year term. The initial
appointment for associate members shall consist of one member for a three-year term and one
member for a two year term. All appointments thereafter shall be for terms of three years. No
appointed regular member shall serve more than two consecutive three-year terms. The Chair of the
Committee shall designate which associate member shall vote in the stead of an absent member.
