Responsible Department: Parks and Recreation Commentary: Earlier this year, the City Council authorized the Parks and Recreation Department to proceed with a cooperative effort with the group Bangor Area Regional K -9's regarding the establishment of a Dog Park in Bangor. The group has been working to establish a location in order to more actively pursue fundraising. With an identified location, they believe that this would assist in moving the project forward. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee as well as the Dog Park group reviewed possible locations and determined that a City owned parcel at the end of Dutton Street, commonly referred to as the Roundhouse property, is the best location for the Dog Park. The parcel will still remain a possible development site which is understood by all involved parties.
