Bangor Gas is requesting an easement on City property to provide service to Bangor Savings
Bank located on State Street. This will require installation of a new line from York Street and
across a strip of City owned land behind that property.
This Order will authorize execution of the easement.

(TITLE.) ORDER, Authorizing Execution of an Easement to Bangor Gas Company —
Bangor Savings Bank
WHEREAS, Bangor Gas wishes to provide natural gas service to Bangor Savings Bank
located on State Street; and
WHEREAS, the gas line will go from York Street across land owned by the City of
Bangor, thereby, requiring and easement.
Now, Therefore, Be It Ordered By the City Council of the City of Bangor That
The Interim City Manager is hereby authorized on behalf of the City of Bangor, to execute an
easement to Bangor Gas to provide a gas service line across City property to 27 State Street,
said easement to be in a final form as approved by the City Solicitor or Assistant City Solicitor.

SUBJECT: Bangor Gas Easement Request — State/ Exchange Street Service
DATE: July 30, 2010
Bangor Gas is requesting an easement on City property to provide service to #27 State
Street. This will require installation of a new line across a strip of City owned land
behind that property.
This strip of land is apparently a remnant from Urban Renewal acquisitions. A map
showing the location of the proposed installation is attached.
Authorization to convey an easement to Bangor Gas will require full Council approval.
This item is for your review and recommendation. Staff supports the request.
