Item No.
Date: March 8, 2010
Item/Subject: ORDER, Execution of Municipal Quitclaim Deed to Bangor Young Men's
Christian Association - 17 Second Street
Responsible Department: Legal
Commentary:
Real estate tax liens matured on the property of the YWCA in the 1970s. City records show no
outstanding real estate taxes or sewer charges due on the property, but apparently these liens
were never discharged. Because the liens have both matured we need to do a quitclaim deed
releasing the City's interest acquired by virtue of the two liens.
The Finance Committee recommended approval.
