Commentary:
This amendment corrects a computational error in the 2009 Planning Fee Schedule. In Council Order
09-208, the fee increase for site development Plans in excess of 100,000 square feet was incorrectly
adjusted to $2,635.00. The correct adjustment should have been to $1,975.00. It is further
recommended that the incremental fee provision of $1,000 for every 10,000 square feet above
100,000 square feet, also be eliminated. Both changes were reviewed and recommended for
adoption by the Infrastructure Committee on February 2, 2010.

AND BE IT FURTHER ORDERED THAT the above processing fees shall be increased annually
on July 1St of each year beginning in 2010 by a percentage equal to the annual percentage
increase in the consumer price index for the immediately preceding calendar year. Fees shall be
rounded up to the next highest dollar. The advertising reimbursement fees shall also be
increased annually on July 1St of each year beginning in 2010 by a percentage equal to any
advertising increases. Any costs exceeding the above amounts shall be billed to and paid for by
the applicant.

SUBJECT: Amending Planning Processing Fee Schedule
It has been brought to our attention that there is an error in the Planning Fee
Schedule adopted last June (C.O. 09-208). The fee increase for Site
Development Plans in excess of 100,000 square feet was incorrectly adjusted to
$2,635. The correct amount should have been listed as $1,975.00. I would also
note at the time of that fee schedule it was proposed to include incremental
steps in between larger fee categories. In hindsight projects of this scale are
rare and the incremental "steps" appear insignificant and would not
substantially improve the equity of the fee which is intended to cover the City's
cost.
Therefore please find the attached order to correct the oversight on applicable
fees for the Planning Processing Fee Schedule 2 D, Site Development Plans in
excess of 100,000 square feet and delete the provision for incremental steps per
10,000 square foot increment.
