It is our understanding that a runway beacon was formerly located there. It is .23 acres of land that is not being used. The property is in the vicinity of the 15th tee. Staff feels that it is appropriate for us to work with the National Park Service through its Lands to Parks Program to pursue the application process. Part of that process is a public declaration prepared by the applicant that states its desire and ability to acquire surplus property of public park and recreational use.
